Vintage 1960's Simplicity 4536 Sewing Pattern

This pattern is for a child's robe. This would be perfect for creating a child's coat, maybe making a costume, or even to make a small bathrobe using material similar to a towel. This pattern will make a robe with or without pockets and a belt.

This is a used pattern, child size 4, last used about 30 years ago and comes complete with the original instructions.

Child's robe: Loosely fitted robe has round neckline with Peter Pan collar, kimono sleeves which may be rolled up to form cuffs, and front button closing. V. 1 has applique of a candle in a holder. V. 2 and 3 feature contrasting bias binding trim and patch pockets. V. 2 has tie belt slipped through carriers.

Suggested Fabrics: Cottons and blends; broadcloth, challis, chambray, cotton quilting, cotton satin, flannelette, gingham, pique, seersucker, terrycloth. Rayons, silks, synthetics; blends.
